Ο άνθρωπος θα παλεύει πάντα με το ανάστημα του παρελθόντος. Τότε που ήταν ωραία, τότε που ήταν διαφορετικά, τότε που ήταν αυτό που ήθελε να είναι. Τότε, που το χέρι του έβρισκε μια παλάμη να κουμπώνει και ήταν και εκείνη αυτή που ήθελε να είναι. Η ανάμνηση της εποχής της νεότητας θα γεμίζει την καρδιά με νοσταλγία και μια δόση υπαρξιακής διερώτησης, εάν άξιζε τελικά να ελπίζουμε στο τυχαίο του μέλλοντος, ή έπρεπε με έναν τρόπο να διατηρήσουμε τη μαγεία εκείνου του παρόντος και να την εξελίσσουμε εις το διηνεκές του χρόνου. Να κλείσουμε, ας πούμε, σε μια φωτογραφία αυτό που πραγματικά είμαστε και να χαιρόμαστε, που σταθήκαμε έστω για λίγο αληθινοί. Αληθινοί άνθρωποι δίπλα σε αληθινούς ανθρώπους… Ήμασταν. Είμαστε ακόμη…; Αίσθηση σα μελωδία, σα σκηνή από ταινία, που έρχεται να επιβεβαιώσει την απάτη.

Ο χρόνος, η γλύκα, η πικρία, η αναζήτηση βρίσκουν το σώμα τους στην υπερβαίνουσα λεκτικής περιγραφής ερμηνεία της Adele και στο υπαρξιακής φύσεως μελαγχολικό «When we were young» από τον τελευταίο της δίσκο «25».
