Το “King” είναι ένας διαλογισμός για τη γυναικεία ζωή, την οικογένεια & τη θηλυκότητα. Είναι ένα προσωπικό μανιφέστο για την υπέρβαση των ρόλων που καθορίζονται από το φύλο.

Το να είσαι γυναίκα καλλιτέχνης συγκρούεται δυστυχώς με το πώς να ευδοκιμήσεις και να συνεχίσεις στο ίδιο μονοπάτι που ακολουθούν οι άνδρες καλλιτέχνες των οποίων η πορεία προς την επιτυχία δεν εμποδίζεται από τη βιολογία. Στα μέσα της δεκαετίας του ’30, αυτές είναι οι αντιφάσεις με τις οποίες παλεύει η Florence μέσα από το νέο της κομμάτι.
